About Saath
For more than a decade, Saath has partnered with rural communities to turn local knowledge into lasting change — one school, one anganwadi, one harvest at a time.
Our story
In 2014, our founder asked the elders of a drought-hit village in Rajasthan what they needed most. Their answer wasn't what the aid playbook predicted — and that surprise became our founding principle: the people closest to a problem are closest to its solution.
Twelve years on, Saath has grown into a community-led foundation working across nine states — but the question hasn't changed. We still begin every partnership by listening.
An India where every community has the resources, trust, and agency to shape its own future — and no one is left to face hardship alone.
To partner with under-resourced communities — putting decisions and funding in local hands — to build education, health, and sustainable livelihoods that last for generations.
What guides us
Local people lead. We follow, fund, and support — never the other way around.
We measure success in years, not photo ops. If it can’t outlive us, we rethink it.
Open books, real numbers, hard lessons shared. Trust is everything.
Every person we work with is a partner with a name, a story, and a say.
How we got here
A first partnership in a Rajasthan village turns a school into a blueprint.
Education reaches 100 villages; our maternal health program is born.
Communities lead a rapid relief effort reaching 80,000 people during the pandemic.
1,800 women’s self-help groups double household income across four states.
6,42,000 lives touched, with 1,240 villages and counting.
