About Saath

We don't arrive with answers. We arrive ready to listen.

For more than a decade, Saath has partnered with rural communities to turn local knowledge into lasting change — one school, one anganwadi, one harvest at a time.

Our story

It started with a single question

In 2014, our founder asked the elders of a drought-hit village in Rajasthan what they needed most. Their answer wasn't what the aid playbook predicted — and that surprise became our founding principle: the people closest to a problem are closest to its solution.

Twelve years on, Saath has grown into a community-led foundation working across nine states — but the question hasn't changed. We still begin every partnership by listening.

Our vision

An India where every community has the resources, trust, and agency to shape its own future — and no one is left to face hardship alone.

Our mission

To partner with under-resourced communities — putting decisions and funding in local hands — to build education, health, and sustainable livelihoods that last for generations.

What guides us

Four values, held closely

01

Community first

Local people lead. We follow, fund, and support — never the other way around.

02

Built to last

We measure success in years, not photo ops. If it can’t outlive us, we rethink it.

03

Radical honesty

Open books, real numbers, hard lessons shared. Trust is everything.

04

Dignity always

Every person we work with is a partner with a name, a story, and a say.
